Surgically Changing Anatomy Pt. 4

Case wrap-up and discussing the path forward.

New insights come from exploration and reflection.

In this episode we discuss the progress of this case, but more importantly what the next steps should be for progress.
I had spent the majority of the time working to improve the lower half, the shape of the pelvis and femur towards more internal rotation. Which yielded us improvements in both movement and symptoms globally. The past 3 videos were a re-cap on some of those interventions and the understanding of why they were so useful.

In my most recent session with this client I started to intervene more on the upper extremity for continued results. It lead me to get creative with a “mobilization with movement“ type intervention and then compliment it with exercises utilizing similar principles from the manual therapy.

We discuss the changes that stemmed from this, why they were beneficial, how they can be improved upon, and the next steps forward.

This video captures self improvement of a coach and practitioner in real time. Part of the reason for this Substack page was to document our own self improvement. No one should feel like they have all the answers, arrogance breeds complacency. Using each other and this page as an opportunity to reflect on cases has been invaluable to my own improvement. I encourage all of you to question your own process. Just like an athlete watching the film from their previous game, this is our way to do that.
